I’m not really sure if Alpha Bits is around anymore. I remember this and other commercials for the cereal well though. nuLhgx_Rv0w This of course reminds me of the scene from “Family Guy” where Peter says he has a message in his Alpha Bits that says “OOOOO”. Brian then reminds him he’s eating Cheerios…..Classic.

Isn’t this kind of a play on the popularity of the Geico commercials? -8181801990250175607

This has got to be one of the greatest commercials of all time. It’s theme is based on the year it ran during the super bowl, or at least on a book named after that year. That year was 1984. -715862862672743260 To be honest, I think the graphics for this were WAY ahead of their [...]

I’ve already posted one of these. I like the other one better, but I wanted to give props to the one that started the whole Geico caveman buzz. 1319381343578952974 So, would he be called the “best caveboy”?

I have a Volkswagen. While I don’t plan to buy another anytime soon, this one is pretty convincing, or at least it was… lMcaK3ZsrZ4 At today’s prices, that’s like seventy something miles per gallon. On the other hand, assuming this commercial was made before 1979 ( I bet it was – If someone can date [...]

Somehow I always found Admiral Akbar “endearing”. 9kVesdPNrAM Of course, I’m not really “into” fish. I like sushi, but I rarely eat it cooked. I never like calamari either, so I guess I won’t be having the Admiral “over for dinner”. Oh well.

Burger King commercials are just weird these days. There’s no doubt about it. I think that started back with the “Hootie Cowboy” commercial. y8T-qlWM1po To be honest I don’t like where BUrger King takes most of their commercials. I just don’t like these weird things. I also don’t really eat at Burger King anymore ’cause [...]

“Unlike games, it has a real computer keyboard” gVX5cyMOGAk Was that supposed to be a spreadsheet? I guess the Vic 20 was a little before my time. At the time this came out I was using a TRS-80 at school. Later I would have my own C-64. You have to wonder too, did this gig [...]

I remember these well…. lJ9RgOAfF3Y This commercial worked it’s magic so well on me that I made my mom buy me almost the complete set for my birthday. We lived near a department store (similar to K-Mart or Target) called “Treasury”. It was so cool. They had a whole isle of Star Wars toys. I [...]

This is just one long collection of commercials from the 50s and the 60s. Take a look! -8529092460554257230 It’s pretty interesting to see how things have changed and how they have stayed the same.
