My Favorite Commercials

For some reason the old fifties TV show The Lone Ranger was real big in syndication in the eighties, probably due to the movie that came out in ’81. Amoco decided to take advantage of this got Clayton Moore to appear in their “Sliver” commercial. Of course The Lone Ranger’s horse was named “Silver”, so that’s the tie in.

Considering he was at least close to being in his seventies when he made this, he still looks pretty spry. Plus, you can’t beat a man’s man that drives a Jeep.  He certainly deserves a seat on the square table, that’s for sure.
