Blue – Fruit of the Loom

They’ve really done a good job in the marketing department for Fruit of the Loom lately. This commercial is the pentacle of their efforts.

I never really understood the whole thing with “Please don’t squeeze the Charmin”. Was it just Mr. Whipple’s way of flirting with what we now call “soccer moms”? Anyway, he doesn’t say it in this one.

You’ve said it all….
Too bad they don’t say it all anymore. This was great commercial. I can remember seeing when I was a kid and singing along. This really tried to appeal to everyone too. I think it worked.

Funny story. One day at church the couple in front of us commented on my excellent singing of hymns. I told them that they must have the same ear defects as my wife. In hindsight, maybe I was just wearing too much Red Zone.

Toys for Toys – Petsmart

Well idn’ that cute. Here we see more of the growing trend to have pets instead of kids. Petsmart makes this easy. Their website should go right next to the one for “Babies R Us”.
